MUSIC
Our desire at Emmanuel Baptist Church is to glorify God through music. We believe that music should be based on biblically accurate lyrics. We use a mixture of the standard hymns of the past and conservative songs from current composers. We do not perform music for the applause or entertainment of man. Instead we desire that the musical communication of biblical truths be a ministry, edifying the believer and glorifying God. Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
Emmanuel Baptist Church offers many opportunities for the entire family to be involved in the music ministry. These opportunities involve adult choir, teen choir and two choirs for children. Members who play musical instruments are encouraged to be involved with the orchestra, special music, and our annual Christmas program.
